Southern Shores Realty guests can schedule a PORTRAIT SITTING by Beach Portraits, FREE of their usual $200 sitting fee.
Beach Portraits offers two types of sessions to meet your needs and budget. The first option is exclusive to Southern Shores Clients.
1. If you are only interested in having a great portrait of your entire family group, we can take several images of one professional pose for $199. We take these sittings at certain scenic locations in Corolla, Southern Shores and Nags Head. The portraits will be posted online, on a private page, for you to download. You may invite friends and family to this page for downloading as well. These images will be Hi Resolution, color corrected, and have any people taken out of the background. They are ready for you to print yourself and use on social media. There are no watermarks or logos on the images, and you own the copyrights. A $100 deposit is required to reserve your sitting. This deposit is NOT a sitting fee but goes directly toward the $199 plus sales tax price.
2. If you want a full sitting, including poses taken of the whole group, each individual family group, just the children of each group, grandparents with grandchildren, etc., the cost will depend upon the total number of people being photographed. The portraits will be posted online, on a private page, for you to download. You may invite friends and family to this page for downloading as well. These images will be Hi Resolution, color corrected, and have any people taken out of the background. They are ready for you to print yourself and use on social media. There are no watermarks or logos on the images, and you own the copyrights. A $200 deposit is required to reserve your sitting. This deposit is NOT a sitting fee but goes directly to your package price. And, because you are a customer of Southern Shores Realty you also receive a free 11×14 print of your choice. We have the 11×14 printed at a custom lab, and ship it right to your home address, once you make your decision on the image. PLEASE book this sitting as soon as possible, times are limited. If you schedule early enough, in most cases, we can come right to your rental if it is oceanfront. You may schedule your sitting as soon as you make your reservation with Southern Shores Realty. All Family Portrait Sittings include a FREE 11×14 Print of Choice.
Sittings include portraits and candid images for the entire family, each individual family unit, just the children of each unit, just the parents, grandparents with the grandchildren, and other requested groupings within the time reserved.
Our packages include All High Resolution Images, converted to JPEG form, with Copyrights, to make your own Prints OR order thru the Custom Lab we use, posted on your own page within a few days.

Early morning portraits are best taken on the beach at Jennettes Pier and Kitty Hawk Pier, or sound front at Whalehead in Corolla. The piers cast a shadow on the beach to keep you from squinting in the bright morning light. The ocean is your background. Whalehead has large oak trees for shade with the background of the Currituck Sound or the Currituck Lighthouse.
If you prefer an evening sitting, you can come to one of our favorite oceanfront locations within two hours of sunset. We photograph at these scenic spots in Corolla, Southern Shores, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head. If you want a full portrait sitting, if still available, we can come right to your oceanfront rental the hour before sunset.
With either package, your images are usually ready in 48 hours. Although you receive copyrights to print your own pictures wherever you wish, we do offer a printing service at a custom lab.
